Welcome to the Munro MapSir Hugh Munro completed his list of Scottish peaks in 1891, and since then, people have been 'bagging' the 284 munros Munro map is a free guide - which, with it's clear and easy to use map makes it easy for you to plan your munro bagging trips. Creating a free account means you can log and keep track of all the mountains you have climbed - and make note of the date and enter comments about the climb. Members can also post comments on the forum, and upload photos. History of Munro MapMunromap.co.uk was born a number of years ago out of a small list I was keeping. When I moved to Inverness, and started climbing munros, I soon found I was getting confused between all the name. I started making a list of the peaks I'd bagged, but soon the list became a bit confusing too! I then decided to make an interactive map in flash, and munromap has gone from a small file on my website - northernlightsdesign.co.uk - to this ever growing website. Jon |
